Uplifting One Another with 3D Printing:
The Social Impact of 3D Printing for People Struggling with Homelessness
In this project, we aim to demonstrate the social impact of 3D printing on individuals experiencing homelessness. Using Switchpoint as a case study at The Point affordable housing locations in Salt Lake City, Utah, we illustrate how 3D printing can positively influence the communities it serves.
Create a survey to evaluate interest in 3D-printed products and determine which items support housing assistance programs.
Emphasize the cost savings of 3D printing in the potential Spark Space maker space and shop that offers a competitive advantage over traditional supply chains.
Showcase 3D-printed products that benefit the community.
Support non-profits in helping individuals facing homelessness by offering job opportunities and products.
Show the positive and uplifting mental health benefits of 3D printing.
